From the end of September onwards the temperatures slowly fall and the climate becomes perfect for hiking the 1000's of kms of national and local trails in Cataluña. The Costa Brava region of Cataluña (Baix Empordà) is an ideal place for hiking whether it's a stroll along the coastal paths from one beautiful secluded bay to the next, meandering through the quiet medieval villages of Baix Empordá and stopping for a lazy lunch or a more adventurous hike through the Iconic Gavarres Hills National Park with the most delightful oak and pine forests, megalithic stones and natural springs. There are 370 kms of well maintained and well signposted senderos (official paths) within a few minutes of the Villa and direct access by foot into the Gavarres hills via the PRC-116 path directly above the Villa. Further afield, Casa Cal Domino is within easy reach of the Garrroxta Volcanic National Park to the north (Alt Empordà)and the National Park Montseny to the south.

Cataluña is rightly famous for it's gastronomy and, depending on the time of year, you will come across wild boar, the freshest fish and wild mushrooms and asparagus picked straight from the forest. The Villa is perfect for small groups and can sleep up to 8 people very comfortably.

For the months of January and February there is the option of skiing in the French Pyrenean resort of Font Romeu. Just 2 hours to the north, it is within easy reach for a days skiing or we can organise a tailor-made split holiday. Please contact us for prices and availability as they vary depending on the time of year. We can book a modern one bed studio apartment for you and for accommodation, ski pass and ski rental you should budget for aproximately €100 per person per day.
